“It’s a big deal for us to be welcomed into La Porte,” Paul Boyter, office manager, said. “We have five great agents here who have made this all happen. This celebration is all about them.”

Boyter acknowledged the agents who made this possible: Betty Daniel-Lanie, Lisa Daniel-King, Nancy Esqueda, Tracey Cummings, and Verna McAlister. The joy of establishing a new office in a location that truly suits the company puts a smile on everyone's face.

“We merged with another office here years ago,” Boyter said. “We were a mile south in the past, but the location just wasn’t right for us as we started to get more agents. When this space came up for sale, I called our company owner, Ron McColly, and he was all in.”

One of Boyter’s favorite aspects of the new office is how it feels like home. Significant effort went into making this location feel welcoming for both the team and their clients.

“I love coming here and driving by the lake,” Boyter said. “It really lights up the office from the outside. When you’re inside, you can see how much dedication went into this. Greg McColly manages the office buildings and renovations. He got everything done that the agents had suggested, including hanging a smart TV and we couldn’t have done this without his help."

Boyter believes that the new office is a fitting tribute to McColly Real Estate as they celebrate their 50th anniversary this year.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by several members of the La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership (LEAP) team. Bert Cook, executive director of LEAP, appreciates being able to connect with McColly Real Estate for this special occasion. The event also received support from La Porte Mayor Dermody.

“Real estate is directly connected to the economic development of the city,” Cook said. “It’s a huge part of helping us accomplish what we’re trying to do. This is such a cool location for a building that’s really well done. As an entryway to the city, you can find the all resources you need at McColly here. I think it’s great for everybody involved and we’re excited to help them.”

Cook emphasized that having a reliable real estate agent is vital for anyone seeking a new home. The new location offers a sense of comfort in one of La Porte’s most welcoming spaces.

“Stability is the most important thing,” Cook said. “It’s always nice when we’re able to refer companies or people who potentially could live here to a location that’s stable and help them find what they’re looking for. Buying a home is one of the most important decisions in most people’s lives. Having a partner like McColly to make sure that the acquisition is successful for those people is huge for our community.”
