McColly Real Estate career seminars offer safe space for asking questions about becoming a realtor

In the multi-faceted field of real estate, learning the ins and outs of what it takes to become a realtor can be challenging, and at times, overwhelming. McColly Real Estate believes education is important and desires to equip anyone interested in becoming a realtor with the proper knowledge and resources needed to make an informed decision before diving in headfirst.

While McColly Real Estate offers pre-licensing and continuing education courses through the McColly School of Real Estate, its leaders wanted to provide a resource that would serve as a safe space for people to learn about the process and ask questions about the industry before committing to taking a course.

This is why McColly Real Estate, a family owned and locally operated business, began hosting career seminars. These career seminars are virtual meetings held on Zoom that typically last 30-45 minutes and are open to the public. They are hosted multiple times a month with varying time frames.

“Through phone calls into our corporate office and inquiries through mccolly.com regarding a career in real estate it was evident the need for additional guidance was there. There are a lot of moving parts to becoming a licensed real estate broker from start to finish. Starting with the pre-licensing course, then the state and national exam, license application, local board and MLS membership and affiliating with a real estate brokerage.  We discuss each of those steps during these seminars,” said Heather McColly, Director of Career Development and New Homes Division.

In some instances, McColly Real Estate will have staff members from the marketing department, branch managers, or even the president of the company join the career seminar to offer advice and answer questions.

“We are happy to be able to provide support to those interested in real estate in our communities that we have called home for more than 45 years,” McColly said.
