Michigan City Area Schools Kindergarten Teacher Surprised with Grant

MCAS-Kindergarten-Teacher-Surprised-with-Grant-2017_01Edgewood Elementary School kindergarten teacher Teresa Pavloff thought all the special guests were gathered to watch the play her students were staging on Friday, April 20. What she didn’t know was that there was a special surprise for HER at the conclusion of the afternoon performance: PCMG President Alan Lawrence had traveled to Michigan City from Virginia to present her with his company’s $2,000 “Star Teacher Award,” a program it sponsors with AdoptAClassroom.org.

MCAS-Kindergarten-Teacher-Surprised-with-Grant-2017_02The Star Teacher Award is a quarterly program of PCMG, an IT services company, which showcases three exemplary teachers from around the country. Each quarter, PCMG customers are invited to vote online for the teacher they think is most deserving of the funds. This quarter’s other finalists will each receive a $600 award from PCMG. (The average amount teachers spend out of pocket each year to equip their classroom and students is $600).
