The Marquette Catholic baseball and softball teams returned to action against GSSC competition, but neither team faired well.
The baseball team lost 25-6 to Lake Station. Bryce Freels took the loss for the Blazers. Patrick Cannon went 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI. Alex Pawlak went 1-3 with an RBI. The baseball team returns to action Saturday, May 4 when they travel to North Newton for a doublheader. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
The softball team hosted Bishop Noll in a doubleheader. Despite a strong effort to many errors cost the Blazers as they lost 19-1 and 22-0. The softball team return to action Friday, May 3 when they host River Forest. First pitch in that contest is scheduled for 4:30.
