The Marquette Catholic softball team and girls tennis team returned to action Monday night. The softball team hosted Wheeler High School in GSSC competition while the girls tennis team hosted non-conference opponent Boone Grove.
The softball team took a tough defeat as they lost 19-0 to the much bigger and more experienced Bearcats squad. The softball team returns to action tomorrow night when they host Bishop Noll for a doubleheader starting at 4:00.
The girls tennis team had no trouble dispensing of Boone Grove, easily winning 4-1, winning
1 singles - Kendall Shinn 6-0, 6-1
2 singles - Abby Schmidt 6-0, 6-1
3 singles - Ali Westbrook 7-5, 4-6, 13-11
1 doubles - Taylor Bowen/Grace Connelly - 6-2, 6-0
The girls tennis team returns to action Friday, April 3, when they travel to Whiting for a 5:00 matchup.
