marquette-catholic-logoMarquette Girls Cross Country had a great Saturday ! The girls competed in the New Prairie Invitational Class A Varsity Race. The girls competed again 33 other schools and 173 runners in their division.

Freshman Lily Giancaspro is continuing to lead the Lady Blazers proving to be a force to be reckoned with.

Lily finished in 72nd place with a time of 24:01.7 (1 min and 4 seconds faster the her best giving her a new Personal record) followed by Senior Laima Kaukaite who placed 129 with a time of 26:55 who beat her time from the last time she competed on this course. Junior Anna Grabevac made her debut race placing 165th with a time of 32:25 and Junior Danielle Sztmkowski with her first race placing 170th with a time of 35:29.

All the Lady Blazers should be incredibly proud of themselves as they are all growing and make big improvements as the season continues on. I look forward to watching my girls finish the season strong !
