Marquette Catholic Rugby Team Lost to the Carroll

marquette-catholic-logoThe Marquette Catholic Rugby team took to the field for the home opener Sunday afternoon against Carroll. The Blazers had some success moving the ball, but four first half Carroll tries put the Blazers down by 22 at the half. The defense stiffened in the second half, but the Blazers were unable to put any points on the board in regulation, as they fell 0-27.

In extra time, Senior, Anthony Kolasa was able to get the ball down past the goal line for his first try of the season.

The Blazers (0-2) return to action Saturday, April 20 for a 12:00 p.m. contest against the Westfield Shamrocks.
