The Marquette Catholic Rugby team headed to Warsaw this afternoon for their first official contest of the 2013 season. The Blazers played well but a 10 point halftime deficit was too much to overcome, as the Blazers fell 7-22. The Blazers lone tri came from Senior Anthony Kolasa early in the second half. CJ Anderson added the point after to cut the deficit to three.
But the Blazers were unable to get to the endzone again before the clock ran out. Rugby's next scheduled contest is Saturday, April 13, when they travel to Angola for a noon start.
