Tonight the Marquette Catholic Boys Basketball team competed in the 2nd round of the Greater South Shore Conference Tournament and advanced to the championship game with a 56-52 victory. The game was back and forth all night, but the Blazers never trailed in the second half and were able to withstand a late run by the Ignots to secure the victory. The Blazers were led by Sophomore Ryan Fazekas who scored 20 while pulling down 11 rebounds.
The Blazers return to action tomorrow evening for the championship game of the GSSC Tournament at Calumet High School. Tip off is set for 7:00.
