The Marquette Catholic Baseball team hosted South Bend Clay tonight in their home opener. Despite chilly conditions, the Blazers played well after the first inning. Late runs by Quinn White and Ian Smith made for some excitement late, but in the end the Blazers fell 2-9.
The Blazers (0-2) return to action Saturday, April 13 when they host Whiting for a doubleheader starting at 10:00 a.m.
