A free program titled, “Prevention and Management of Lymphedema,” will be offered at noon Aug. 26 in the Breast Care Center of Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point, located on the third floor of the Burrell Professional Building (southwest of the hospital’s main entrance).
Lorraine Skolak, PT-CLT, a nationally certified lymphedema therapist, will discuss how lymphedema can occur any time after lymph node dissection and how simple lifestyle changes can help prevent its onset. She also will explain self-management techniques.
