Six students from the La Porte High School Music Department will perform at the Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA) State Convention January 24 and 25 in Fort Wayne. The following students were selected from auditions and applications from the entire state for the following ensembles:
IMEA Honor Band: Brittany Bohling, Madison Kutch, Matthew Steck, Daniel Sager
All-State Choir: Emily Barsic
Indiana Bandmasters Association Junior All-State Band: Olivia Capusan
Students will attend rehearsals with their guest conductors in preparation for concerts held in conjunction with the annual IMEA Convention. All concerts for these ensembles will be held in the Embassy Theatre in downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday, January 25. All concerts are free and open to the public.
