The La Porte High School Marching Band won the Scholastic A Class at the Penn Invitational held at Penn High School on September 22. Complete Scholastic A Class results follow:

- Columbia City - 52.225
- Highland - 45.775
- John Adams - 41.350
On September 29 the LPHS Marching Band will compete at the Plymouth Invitational. The contest begins at 4:00 PM E.S.T. with La Porte scheduled to perform at 5:41 PM E.S.T.
