The La Porte High School Marching Band received a Gold Division Rating at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Scholastic A Class State Prelims held October 12, at Homestead High School, and advanced to the Scholastic Class State Finals. The band also received the designation of “With Distinction” for their high scores in both music and visual. The following Scholastic A Class bands qualified for the finals:
