The La Porte High School Wind Ensemble and Treble Chorale have qualified for the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) State Finals to be held May 3 & 4 in Indianapolis. The Treble Chorale will perform at 8:58 PM EDT on Friday, May 3, at the Pike High School Performing Arts Center. The Wind Ensemble will perform at 11:15 AM EDT on Saturday, May 4, at the Butler University Schrott Center for the Arts.
Both ensembles performed at the ISSMA State Qualification Contest on April 27 in order to qualify for the state finals. From the four qualification sites across the state the top scoring groups advanced to the state finals which will feature the top 16 concert bands and mixed choirs, and the top 8 orchestras and treble/men’s choirs from the entire state.
The performances are open to the public and admission is $5.00 for the entire event. Complete schedules for the finals are available at www.issma.net.
