La Porte County Public Library, Michigan City Public Library and Purdue University North Central are joining together to present a Major Motion Picture Film Screening to the public for the months of September through November.
Each library has chosen a theatrical release to present to the public for free each month. This joint effort between the libraries and the university is to promote free entertainment and to bring awareness as to what resources these organizations have to offer the people in La Porte County.
For the month of September, La Porte County Public Library will present a viewing of “The Place Beyond the Pines” starring Ryan Gossling, Bradley Cooper and Eva Mendes. The movie is rated R. The viewing at La Porte County Public Library is Saturday, September 14 at 1pm.
Michigan City Public Library will present “Mud”, starring Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon. “Mud” is rated PG-13 and the viewing at Michigan City Public Library is Sunday, September 15 at 2pm.
