Teddy Bear Picnic
The first graders ended their Beary First Week of School with a Teddy Bear Picnic. The students sorted their bears by colors, size, types, etc, measured their bears, ordered them by their measurements, wrote stories about bears, learned about different types of bears, sorted and graphed gummy bears, and even tasted honey!
One Year Anniversary of Serving Salvation Army
Lincoln Elementary celebrated its one year anniversary of supplying and serving a monthly dinner at the La Porte Salvation Army on August 27th from 5-7 P.M. Mrs. Maria Amor, teacher of the kindergarten "smart cookies," thought of the idea. The staff signs up to bring in food for a dinner one time each month and volunteer to serve the meal. Mrs. Amor organizes the menu. This is a great way of giving back to the community by the Lincoln Lions!
