Position Summary
Legacy Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic student who is eager to learn about nonprofit accounting. The Accounting Internship will allow this student to gain experience with financial software, accounting practices, and nonprofit organization management.

Primary responsibilities:
Responsible for providing accounting support to Director of Operations; enters receivables to the general ledger system, ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, handles accounts payable duties, and assists accounting personnel. Click here for full list of responsibilities.

Time Commitment and Compensation
20 hours/ week for 16 weeks from date of hire
$12 per hour

Desired Skills and Qualifications
Current undergraduate or graduate student at an Indiana college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Ability to utilize computer systems to run databases, pay bills and order supplies
Experience with Financial Software
Reporting Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word
Detail-oriented, productive and dependable

Special Projects Internship

Position Summary
The Special Projects Intern will focus on managing projects, creating marketing materials, and supporting communications activities that further the work and organizational goals of Legacy Foundation. Student will gain experience in marketing, fundraising, event planning, and project management.

Primary responsibilities:

Time Commitment and Compensation
20-24 hours/ week for 16 weeks from date of hire
$12 per hour

Desired Skills and Qualifications
Current undergraduate or graduate student at an Indiana college or university pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Affairs or a related field.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Detail oriented, dependable, professional
Positive Attitude
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Punctuality and professionalism
