Frank J. Mrvan is the United States Representative for the First Congressional District of Indiana. Born in Hammond, Mrvan graduated from Morton High School, eventually receiving his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ball State University in Muncie Indiana. After serving as the North Township Trustee for 15 years, Mrvan announced his candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives, representing the 1st Congressional District in Indiana. Mrvan was sworn into the 117th Congress on January 3, 2021.
As the representative for Indiana’s 1st district, Mrvan serves to create good-paying jobs and grow the area’s economy to ensure it works for every constituent. He sits on the House Committee on Education and Labor, including the Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee, and the Civil Rights and Human Services Subcommittee. He is also a member of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, including the Subcommittee on Health, and he also serves as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Technology Modernization. Mrvan is married to his high school sweetheart, Jane, and has two daughters.
