On Wednesday, May 14, 6:30-8:00 pm, noted local guest speaker Ange Benz will present the final program for this Health & Spirituality season at LaPorte New Church Swedenborgian, 812 Indiana Avenue.
Be touched by your Angel! Listen to and share inspiring stories about the presence of angels in our everyday lives. Connect with the many angelic spirits that are surrounding us, caring for us, waiting to be asked to guide and protect us. Ange Benz will help guide you to connect to your angel through her experiences and through meditation.
Ange shares that “Angels stand forever ready to guide the flow of our lives while honoring our freedom to choose our own personal path. They send signs through whispers, nudges, and hunches, answering our questions when we listen from the heart. Angels provide golden gateways to the light of eternal love.”
Rev. Kit Billings will also be present to share the New Church perspective on angels. He states, "Angels are good, faithful people who are part of Heaven's community, luminous with love, peace and faithful compassion. They serve God and us in many ways--helping to bring the Divine Lord’s love and wisdom into us by companioning us on our way. They help the Lord shine His Light upon our paths, and into our hearts and minds daily, and while we sleep. They inspire us with God's peace, courage and wisdom, and work as messengers of hope, since God is with us and shepherds us always. They help us transition from this world into the next by serving God when we awaken from death, and they have the joy of raising our babies and children in Heaven if they pass over before we do. The life of angels is very diverse and active, and they enjoy their eternity as an adventure of serving God and others within their own unique joys of being useful. I've long found deep comfort in the truth that we never walk alone, and that God provides us with spiritually mature companions, who love us thoroughly and who know us very, very well."
The book “Conversations with Angels – What Swedenborg Heard in Heaven” will be available for $10 that evening.
Health & Spirituality gatherings encourage informal sharing of meaningful experiences, questions, comments, and personal insights. Everyone is invited to attend.
The 2014-15 Health & Spirituality season will resume on 2nd Wednesdays in September. Ideas for guest speakers and topics are always welcome as these programs exist to serve the local community. Please contact Rev. Billings.
