LaPorte County Habitat for Humanity ReStore Expands in 2016

La-Porte-County-Habitat-for-HumanityThe ReStore at 225 East Garfield Street in Michigan City has added showroom area to accommodate increased donations and enhance the customer shopping experience.

"We've added an 1,800 square foot room dedicated to sinks, cabinets, and flooring," notes Therese Hoffmaster, ReStore Manager. "This expansion gives customers an opportunity to better choose the items that suit their needs."

The store, which moved from 10th and Huron Street last October, has experienced increased growth and traffic since its relocation.

The ReStore sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials and other household items for 40 to 70 percent off original retail prices. Proceeds from the store support Habitat's mission of providing affordable, decent housing to low to moderate income families.

ReStore hours are: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 11 am to 5 pm; and Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.
