Help support the Valparaiso Police K9 Unit and get a chance to meet with Lakeshore PAWS adoptable dogs during the Valparaiso Police K9 Unit 5K Run, 1 Mile Walk on May 11, 2013 in downtown Valparaiso.
Join Lakeshore PAWS adoptable dogs and volunteers as they participate in the run/walk hosted by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #76. The race begins at 9 a.m., followed by the non-competitive walk at 9:15 a.m. The course begins and ends at Central Park Plaza, located at the corner of Lafayette and Indiana Streets in Valparaiso.
Preregister at www.thtiming.com. Registration costs $20 before the race and $23 the day of the race. Registration for children 12 and under participating in the walk costs $13.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entertainment, food, and demonstrations will follow the race. All proceeds benefit the Valparaiso Police K9 Unit.
