Lakeshore PAWS Hosts Third Annual Dog Walk, Pup Crawl in Valparaiso

Pup-CrawlFor the third year in a row, Lakeshore PAWS will host a dog walk to raise money for homeless pets on Saturday, July 20. The Lakeshore PAWS Pup Crawl will be held at Central Park Plaza in downtown Valparaiso from 5 to 10 p.m.

Adults, teens, children and dogs are invited to participate in the dog walk and stay for the festivities. During and after the walk, the event will feature music by the Crawpuppies, local food vendors, a beer and wine tent, entertainment for kids and adults alike, a variety of vendors and homeless pets to adopt from Lakeshore PAWS and other local rescues. The event is open to the public and attendees need not participate in the dog walk to enjoy the party in the park.

Registration opens at 5 p.m. The walk begins at 6 p.m. and participants will travel through downtown Valparaiso with stops at participating stores along the way. Awards for the smallest dog, cutest dog costume and most original dog/owner costume will be awarded after the walk.

Registration costs $25 per family on or before July 12 and $30 after July 20 and the day of the event. Registration costs include one t-shirt, lighted leash and magnet per family. Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $15. Register online at www.thtiming.com.
