Lake Hills STEM Magnet Elementary School participated in the Science Leadership School Partners Recognition Program at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago on Tuesday, May 2. The program is part of the museum’s Science Leadership Initiative, funded by several foundations in Illinois.
Lake Hills was selected from a broad pool of applicants to participate as a Museum of Science and Industry Partner School this school year, and was one of eight schools asked to present at the May 2 event, highlighting their curriculum and special programs for the 29 school teams in attendance.
Principal Connie Bachmann and STEM Coordinator Shelley Deutscher gave the presentation and were cheered on by a group of Lake Hills teachers and MCAS Superintendent Dr. Barbara Eason-Watkins.
