The LaPorte High School Winter Color Guard competed in the prelims at the Winter Guard International World Championships held in Dayton, OH, April 11, 12 and 13. One-hundred-twelve guards competed in the Scholastic A Class prelims, fifty-six at the Wright State University Nutter Center in Dayton and fifty-six at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati. LaPorte placed ninth in their round of fourteen guards and thirtieth overall at their site with twenty-four advancing to the semi-finals. The champion of the Scholastic A Class was Bellbrook High School, Bellbrook, OH.
Auditions for the fall LPHS Marching Band Color Guard will be held in early May. Interested students should pick up information from the band room or main office in late April prior to auditions.
