La Porte, IN – La Porte Hospital CEO Ashley Dickinson has announced that Sean Fischer, CPA, CHFP, MBA has been selected as the new Chief Financial Officer for La Porte and Starke Hospitals. “Our focus at La Porte Hospital over the next couple of years will be continued growth as we open our new hospital. Sean brings with him a strong commitment to work collaboratively with hospital leaders and identify and implement key strategies for growth. We look forward to having him on our team,” Dickinson said.
Fischer obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University – Shreveport. Sean started his career as an auditor for KPMG LLP in Chicago, Illinois and has served in health care leadership since 2010. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Sean has served in various financial roles for several hospitals, ranging from critical access to academic medical centers. Most recently Fischer served as the Vice President of Finance and Central Illinois Division Controller for the Hospital Sisters Health System based in Springfield, Illinois.
Originally from suburban Chicago, he enjoys spending his free time near the water with his wife and two children. He will join the executive team for La Porte & Starke Hospitals on July 13.
