With better weather coming soon, people will start driving more and we do want to remind all of our citizens to drive safely. Make sure that everyone in your vehicle buckles up before your vehicle even moves; never text while driving; make sure you are patient and considerate of other motorists; obey all traffic laws and never, ever drive impaired.
The La Porte Police Department will be working 40 hours of Operation Pull Over funded seat belt patrols during April. The department will also be working impaired driving patrols every weekend in April that are organized through the La Porte County DUI Taskforce.
