Build your snowman in one of our parks and win prizes in the La Porte Park and Recreation Department's Snowman Contest.
After any snowfall this winter, through Feb. 28, build a snowman in any city park and take a photo of your creation. Email or drop off the photo and, after we verify it, we’ll reward your efforts with a gift certificate.
E-mail your snowman photo to mschreiber@cityoflaporte.com or drop off the photo at the Park Office at 250 Pine Lake Avenue. Please include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and location of the snowman. Then we’ll post your snowman photo on our Facebook page for all to see. Remember, the snowman must be built and stand in a city park. Photos will not be displayed until approved by the contest administrator.
On Friday, March 1, we’ll announce the winners of our Snowmen of the Year as determined by our Park and Recreation Department staff.
