The LaPorte High School Marching Band won the Open A Class competition at the Lafayette Jefferson High School Star City Festival held on September 12. Complete Class A results follow:

LaPorte also won awards for best music, visual, general effect, color guard, drum major, and pit crew.

On September 19 the LPHS Marching Band will compete at the Concord High School Invitational. LaPorte will perform at 8:38 PM E.S.T. Adult pre-sale tickets are available from the LPHS Music Office for $6.00.
