La Porte Hospital Board of Trustees Appoints New Members and Officers

La-Porte-Hospital-Board-of-Trustees-Appoints-New-Members-and-OfficersLa Porte Hospital has announced the appointment of Dr. Usama Moustafa, Jessica Romine, and Andrew Snyder to its Board of Trustees, effective January 1, 2019.

“We believe these additions to our Board offer perspective, expertise, energy and a voice for residents of our community as we continue to grow and strengthen our organization and continue construction on our new community hospital. We are very fortunate to have them join our La Porte Hospital,” said Ashley Dickinson, Chief Executive Officer.

Dr. Moustafa, a board certified pediatrician with La Porte Physician Network, brings more than a decade of focus on the health of children in La Porte County and surrounding areas. Dr. Moustafa is well known throughout the area. He is often a source for pediatric medical expertise for local media and generously provides health information to local media.

Jessica Romine, CPA, is a partner with Parkison & Hinton, Inc. in La Porte. Romine is active in the community, serving as an officer of the boards of the La Porte Chamber of Commerce, La Porte Parks & Recreation, and the La Porte Fire Merit Commission. She is also active in her church.

Andrew Snyder, serves as the Fire Chief for the La Porte Fire Department where he has been in service since 1988. Snyder is active in the La Porte Jaycees, School Buddies mentoring program, the PAATH program, the La Porte 4th of July Parade and more. He is also a longtime supporter of the Healthcare Foundation of La Porte.

The hospital also announced the election of Craig Menne, President of General Insurance Services, Inc. as Chairperson and Stephen Turner, Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at Purdue Northwest as Vice Chairperson.

Dickinson also thanked outgoing board members Carl Scott, Chil Kang, MD, Gary Wheeland, MD for the years of service and guidance they have provided to La Porte Hospital.
