The La Porte High School Winter Color Guard won the Scholastic Open Class at their opening contest of the 2016 season on January 23. The contest was sponsored by the Midwest Color Guard Circuit and held at Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing, IL. Complete results of the Scholastic Open Class were as follows:
La Porte - 56.4
Marian Catholic - 54.4
Chesterton - 50.3
La Porte will travel to Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, IL, on February 7 to compete in their next Midwest Color Guard Circuit Contest. La Porte High School will host the MWCGC Championships on April 2nd and 3rd.
