Eight students from the La Porte High School Music Department will perform at the Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA) State Convention January 14 through 16 in Fort Wayne. The following students were selected from auditions and applications from the entire state for the following ensembles:
IMEA Honor Band: Olivia Capusan, Caroline Francis, Sara McMahon, Luke Vasilarakos
All-State Choir: Vanessa Evans, Alex Gushrowski, Taylor Jump, Max Principe
Students will attend rehearsals with their guest conductors in preparation for concerts held in conjunction with the annual IMEA Convention. All concerts for these ensembles will be held in the Embassy Theatre in downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday, January 16. All concerts are free and open to the public.
