The La Porte High School girls soccer team defeated their Marquette Catholic counterparts 2-1 on Tuesday evening. Brooke Pissarski and Madeline Voelker scored for the Slicers, with assists coming from Dru Thomas and Pissarski. The Slicers took 16 shots on goal and Slicers goalie Katie Dermody recording seven saves.
For Marquette Catholic, Maggie Mellen scored on a Allison Westbrook assist, one of 10 shots on goal. Rose Wall recorded 13 saves for Marquette.
