La Porte County YMCA Tumbling Classes Begin on February 23, 2015

LaPorte-YMCA-2015-Winter-BrochureTumbling is a great way to help your child develop fine motor skills, work on balance, flexibility and hand-eye coordination. We offer 3 levels for children to learn, grow and achieve.

Preschool Tumbling I is for our walking children to three years old. This is an introductory class for the basic body positions, age appropriate motor skills and socialization. Class will be from Tues, Thurs and Sat. at 9:45 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.

Preschool Tumbling II is for our 4s and 5s. Your child will builds on skills learned in PSI. Each will work on age appropriate motor skills and performing their own rolls, hops and jumps all by themselves. Class will be Tue. 3:15 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. and Thurs at 3:15 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.

School Age Tumbling is for our K-5th graders. A great class for skills and confidence to be built with skills on the balance beam, rolls, handstands, cartwheels, turns and jumps on the floor. Class will be on Mon. 5:35 p.m. to 6:05 p.m. and Wed. 3:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.

We will be using “Developing Tumbling Excellence, “ a program introduced on Feb. 3,2015 by US Women’s Olympic Gymnastics Head Coach, John Geddert. Registration is open now. All classes will start Feb. 23rd and end Apr. 18th.
