Maestro Philip Bauman has invited vocalist Amanda Haack - a former Hoosier Star finalist and the chorus Illumination, directed by Becky Osborn. This enthusiastic and well-polished choral group began performing with the LCSO as the background singers featured at the Hoosier Star vocal competition that is held annually.

Symphonic melodies for the evening will feature a range of heroes from the All-American type to Hollywood and comic book favorites. Enjoy the adventure-filled music from Gladiator, Iron Man, Superman, Spiderman and Batman. Also, programmed to honor U.S. military personnel and veterans, the symphony will perform the US Field Artillery March, Battle Hymn of the Republic and Band of Brothers.

This evening will include more than heroic adventures. Music from The Producers and Sounds of Hollywood will give concertgoers a preview of the upcoming LCSO season’s salute to movie music titled NOW SHOWING. For Baby Boomers, the Pops tunes will include a Beach Boys Medley and The Best of the Beatles.

You will want to get your friends and maybe the whole neighborhood out to enjoy this relaxing evening summer evening with your symphony orchestra!
