La Porte County Symphony Orchestra Children’s Choir to Perform “Around the World in Music”

LSCO-Childrens-Choir-2015The La Porte County Symphony Orchestra's Children's Chorus, under the direction of Matthew Nelson, will be performing their Bloomin' Melodies spring concert entitled "Around the World in Music" on Sunday,

March 29 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran, 102 G. Street, La Porte, Indiana. Tickets are not required for this FREE performance and is open to the public. Do not miss your opportunity to show your support for the children of our community.

Fan favorites from around the world will be featured during this event, including Goodnight from Russia, Hava Nagila from Israel, Chumbara from France, and Toora Loora Looral from Ireland. The children enjoy singing these tunes and you are sure to love hearing them sung! As a part of the program, fifth graders who have been with the Chorus since second grade will be honored for their participation. Immediately following the program will be a cookie reception.

The LCSO Children's Chorus is currently in its sixth season and is comprised of 35 children from throughout La Porte County in grades 2 - 5. They are also scheduled to perform with the LCSO and the Purdue Varsity Glee Club during the Robert J. Hiler Family Foundation Spring Pops Concert on Saturday, April 18 at the La Porte Civic Auditorium.
