La Porte County Library Presents Indiana’s Underground Railroad

la-porte-county-public-libraryLa Porte County Public Library will conduct a workshop entitled Indiana's Underground Railroad on Thursday, February 20, beginning at 6pm at the Main Library location.

The workshop, presented by the Indiana State Museum, features the importance of the Underground Railroad in Indiana and the nation before, during, and after the Civil War. Characters from the time period will lead participants through the various levels of the presentation, which highlights hands-on activities as part of the experience. This free workshop is intended for students in grades three and up as well as adults interested in state. It is sponsored by La Porte County Public Library's Friends of the Library.
