La Porte County Extension Homemakers Hosting 100th Anniversary Picnic

Homemakers-100th-Anniversary-PicnicThe Indiana Extension Homemakers Association is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2013 and the La Porte County clubs will be celebrating the anniversary with a picnic. Red Mill County Park will be the location on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 11: 00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. All present and past members, their families and anyone else interested in Extension Homemakers are invited to attend. Grilled hotdogs and hamburgers and salads and desserts made by seasoned Extension Homemakers will be provided. There will be fun and games for kids of all ages.

The Mission of the Association is to strengthen families through continuing education, leadership development, and volunteer community support. The clubs also serve as a gathering point for meeting people and socializing. Some of the events and activities they host include the Fair Booth during the La Porte County Fair (The Apron Ladies!) and the Taste of Extension Homemakers in the fall.

Please come for a great time of fun and food!
