The Board of School Trustees for the La Porte Community School Corporation is pleased to announce the kickoff of a feasibility study process. In conjunction with school administration, experts from Odle, McGuire, and Shook Architects will facilitate a feasibility study which will engage our students, staff, and community in activities designed to identify future student programming and facility improvements.
A Feasibility Study Task Force will convene to oversee the study process. The duties of the team will be to assist with communications, provide valuable input to facilitators, and present recommendations for improvements to the LPCSC Board of School Trustees.
Final recommendations for improvements are expected to be determined by July of 2015. A Strategic Planning Team will be formed at that time to carry out the improvement plans which will range from curriculum revision, implementation of safety measures, building renovation, and new construction projects.
A key component to the study will be the collection of data and input from staff, students, parents, and community members. Announcements and information regarding surveys, meetings, and interviews will be provided in the near future.
