La Porte Boys Soccer Splits Doubleheader Against Fort Wayne Northside, West Lafayette Harrison

laporte-slicersThe La Porte High School boys soccer team took to the road and traveled to West Lafayette this weekend, splitting their matches against Fort Wayne Northside and West Lafayette Harrison.

In the opener at 11am, the Slicers won against F.W. Northside 2-0 on goals by Alberto Salas and Josh Aaron. Jacob Lindsey and Ben Saliwanchk recorded assists and Carter Huber notched one save.

In the night game, the Slicers fell to W.L. Harrison 1-4. Goalie Carter Huber gave up the four goals but also recorded four saves. The Slicers' only goal game on a Ben Saliwanchik goal via a Josh Aaron assist. This was LPHS's first out-of-conference loss on the season.

The Slicers next take on the Michigan City Wolves at 5pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Michigan City.
