The La Porte Boys Soccer team took home their first victory on the season, winning on the road against Merrillville 5-2 on Wednesday.
The Slicers were led by Josh Aaron’s two goals, with Michael Gazdick, Ben Saliwanchik and Tyler Kuzdas each scoring as well. Aaron also recorded two assists with Jon Aaron adding one. Goalie Carter Huber saved nine shots in the game.
The junior varsity Slicers fell 5-1, with Brayan Ruiz scoring La Porte’s lone goal on an Alberto Salas assist.
The Slicers take the field next on Saturday, August 25 as they play host to Plymouth at 10am.
