La Lumiere Senior Jacqueline Davis wins Award at Secondary School Showcase at Brauer Museum of Art

2013-Brauer-Art-Award-Jacqueline-Davis-1-2Entries from three La Lumiere students were chosen for the annual Secondary School Showcase at Valparaiso University's Brauer Museum of Art. Seniors Jacqueline Davis of La Porte, Wynton (Jack) Henderson of Chicago, IL and Dan Giancaspro of New Buffalo, MI were invited to display drawings in the juried exhibition. Jacqueline Davis won a $50 Cesare Battisti Italian Medici Award – one of the top 10 awards given – for her colored pencil drawing titled “Winding Roots.” The Secondary School Showcase invited 60 schools to participate in the exhibition and 77 artworks were selected for view.
