La Lumiere School is hosting its annual Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, March 1 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (CST) in the Fine Arts Building. This event is open to the general public and donors can register online at redcrossblood.org.
"We began partnering with the Red Cross 10 years ago to give our students an opportunity to both donate blood and learn the logistics of running a blood drive in hopes that it develops a life-long dedication to this important cause. Over the years our small community has been very successful, often exceeding the Red Cross's expectations. We are hopeful that we can again meet our quota with the support of the local community," said Mike Heffron.
The pandemic has caused a significant reduction in blood donations over the last few years. If you are able, please consider coming to campus and donating. For any local students that are 16 years of age, you must have a signed parental consent form to donate blood which can be found on the Red Cross website.
