La Lumiere School earned first place in Social Studies and third place in Mathematics in the Senior Academic Super Bowl Area Competition in April. La Lumiere competed with Kouts, La Crosse, Oregon-Davis, Morgan Township, and North White High Schools.
The winning Social Studies team consisted of Aubrey Mugford, La Porte; Anna Murdoch, Glenview, IL; Violet Potter, Chicago, IL; Fiona Whalen, La Porte and Lenik Zaranski, Chesterton. The Math team consisted of Ian Scholl, La Porte; Vesper Yun, South Korea and Solstice Zaranski, Chesterton. Other students who competed were Eryn Dietz, Michigan City; Hannah Fogel, Manteno, IL; Katie Goble, Naperville, IL and Chris Hohman, Rolling Prairie.
