La Lumiere School kicked off the start of the 2014/15 Basketball Season with its fifth annual Marsch Madness event. Marsch Madness is based on Midnight Madness, an annual event on college campuses that celebrates the first day the NCAA permits formal basketball practices.
Both the women’s and men’s teams wowed the crowd with their skills as they competed in a three-point contest, dunk contest and inter-team scrimmages.
The celebration ended with a rousing game of P-I-G between Headmaster Michael Kennedy and senior Drew Cayce. Headmaster Kennedy started strong with a behind-the-back flip shot but couldn’t match Drew’s back-to-back half court shots.
