La Lumiere School kicked off the start of the 2017/18 Basketball Season with its eighth annual Marsch Madness event. Marsch Madness is based on Midnight Madness, an annual event on college campuses that celebrates the first day the NCAA permits formal basketball practices. Both the girls’ and boys’ teams wowed the crowd with their skills as they competed in a three-point contest, dunk contest, and an inter-team scrimmage. The celebration ended with a rousing game of knockout between Head of School Adam Kronk and his wife Jacqueline, Molly Caplice ’19, Josh Grant ’18, and Tyger Campbell ’18. Campbell edged out Jacqueline Kronk to win the event and earn a dress down day for the students. New Varsity White head coach Pat Holmes said “We are thrilled with the turn out for Marsch Madness and how it brought the La Lumiere community together.”
