JobSource Program to Offer Free Workshops for Veterans With Disabilities

oe logoJobSource, the Community Employment division of Opportunity Enterprises, is offering free job readiness and technology skills workshops for veterans of all ages with disabilities.

Workshop dates are October 23, 25, and 30, and November 1, 6, and 8. All workshops are free, and will be held from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Porter County JobSource office, 56 South Valparaiso Street, Valparaiso. Space is limited, and reservations are required. Each workshop will be taught by highly trained employment professionals, and will focus on one of the following topics: Introduction to Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, Resume Preparation, Mock Interviewing, Job Searching, Job Development and Transitioning to Civilian Life.

JobSource has more than 20 years of experience placing and supporting qualified individuals with disabilities in community employment, and utilize innovative protocols to ensure success. Services include pre-vocational training programs, placement screening processes, on-site job coaching, and an assistive technology program that features computer adaptations for clients with physical, visual, developmental and/or learning disabilities.
