International Friendship Gardens’ Eighth Annual Chicago Lyric Opera Season Preview

International-Friendship-GardensThe Gardens is pleased to present our eighth annual preview of the upcoming Chicago Lyric Opera season in the Symphony Garden. We are fortunate to again welcome Michigan City favorite and international performer, soprano Kimberly Jones. The program will also feature Mezzo-soprano Jessye Wright (recipient of the Ardis Krainik Memorial Prize from Chicago’s National Bel Canto Foundation), tenor Cornelius V. Johnson (having sung the leading role in Troubled Island, the #1 Classsic/Opera event in Chicago in 2013) , accompanist Jason Balla who returns from a very busy schedule with his musical directorship at the Chicago Sinai Congregation.

Making his debut in the Gardens, baritone Bill McMurray, with more than thirty operatic roles and performances throughout the United States and Europe to his credit, he recently returned to the Ryan Center in Chicago, and we are delighted to welcome back narrator Charlie DeWitt, a much sought after lecturer in opera history.
