Independent Cat Society Will Host Annual Used Book Sale July 18, 19

ICS-logoBoy-with-Cat-ICS-Book-Sale-FlyerThe Independent Cat Society of Westville will host its annual Used Book Sale on Friday, July 18 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday, July 19 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Chesterton American Legion Hall located at 798 Wabash Avenue in Chesterton, Indiana. Most books will be available for purchase for $1 or less. We will also have for sale used prints, cd’s, dvds, tapes and posters. Callico Corney’s homegrown catnip, catnip mats, cat beds, cat toys, ICS car magnets, t-shirts, Black Cat Boutique items along with Cool Cat Café gourmet coffee and fresh home-baked goods will also be available for sale at this event.

We will have live music provided by Kimmy Ebert, who will also have her new cd “Nostalgia” available for sale and will personally sign your cd.

Meg Damakis, author of several children’s books will have a book signing at this event both days from 11am-12pm. Her childrens’ books will also be available for sale for $7 each or 3 books for $20, with some of the proceeds being donated to the Independent Cat Society.

We will have several wonderful raffles available including an extension of the Black and White Basket which was originally at the Black and White Reception on June 21st.

We will several of our ‘celebrity’ cats and kittens making a guest appearance at this event. Come out and meet them. You just might find your new forever friend. This is a wonderful event has something for everyone. We hope you will mark your calendar and plan to attend.

After you have browsed our book sale, stop by the ICS Shelter located on Route 6 and County Line Road in Westville, Indiana. We have ‘kindles’ of kittens and ‘Nooks’ of cats waiting to meet you. We are offering special additional adoption hours on Friday, July 18th from 1pm – 4pm. Our regular adoption hours are Saturdays 10am – 4pm and Sundays 1pm – 4pm. All are waiting for you to visit and hoping you will one or more of them to their new ‘furrever’ home.

All proceeds from this event benefit the Independent Cat Society and help us to continue to help the many homeless cats and kittens in our area.
