It's that time again! Time for the Sweetheart candidates from the Independent Cat Society to begin their search for Team Leaders and votes to win the coveted title of ICS Sweetheart of the Year! This year we have 9 beautiful cats competing for this title and they are, each and every one of them, a true sweetheart. You can help your favorite win by donating to the ICS Sweetheart Contest, every dollar is one vote for your favorite.
You can vote by going to our website, www.catsociety.org and clicking on Paypal (be sure to indicate that your donation is a vote for your favorite sweetheart), or you can mail a check payable to the ICS, to Independent Cat Society, Sweetheart Contest, PO Box 735, Westville, IN 46391 (be sure to indicate on your check that this is a vote for your favorite sweetheart, or you can stop by the ICS Shelter, located on Rte 6 and County Line Road in Westville during our adoption hours of Saturdays 10am to 4pm or Sundays 1pm to 4pm, meet the sweethearts in person and place your vote there. And if you want to help one of these sweetheart by being their team leader or a team member to help them raise votes, please call us at 219-785-4936 or email us at shelter@catsociety.org and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
On March 7th, the last day of the contest, we will have a Sweetheart Day event at the Valparaiso Moose Lodge on Indiana Avenue from 10am to 4pm. Some of the Sweetheart candidates will be making a guest appearance there!
The Candidates this year are, in alphabetical order:
Abby - Abby is our youngest candidate - she is playful and affectionate and her photo shows she is confident that she will be crowned the ICS Sweetheart. Can she count on your vote? (Abby has already won the greatest prize of all, she was adopted recently into her 'furrever' home. But she is still running in the contest on behalf of all her sheltermates at the ICS still searching for their forever home!) Please vote for Abby!
Cissy - Cissy is a gorgeous calico girl who has had a rough start, but has certainly become the Sweetheart of her room at the shelter, Church. Wont you vote to make her the ICS Sweetheart of the Year?
Donut - Who doesn't love Donut(s)? This boy is a big bundle of love and affection. He will sit in your lap all day and let you love on him. Help Donut win this year with your vote!
Georgie - Georgie is as sweet as he is large. He is usually found supervising the activities in the main shelter and being adored by all. Will he win your vote??
Nema - Nema is a beautiful, friendly female orange tabby. She has had a rough year, but has retained her sweet loving nature. Doesn't she deserve your vote this year?
Patch - Patch is an active, delightful little guy, who has watched all but one of his 6 siblings get adopted this year. Your vote can help get him noticed and maybe adopted!
Pink - Pink came to the ICS on April Fool's Day last year, but we're not fooling when we say she is a real Sweetheart! She'll be 'tickled pink' to win your vote!
Snowball - Snowball has the most dazzling blue eyes and is simply adorable and loving. She's deaf, so let your vote SHOW her that she truly is the Sweetheart of the Year! Zeller - Zeller may come last on the list by name, but this handsome guy comes first in the hearts of those who meet him. Your vote can make him the #1 Sweetheart!
